Washington, DC, November 30, 2012 – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today successfully achieved Occupational Safety and Health protections for commercial aircraft; after tireless advocacy to improve safety and health standards in its members’ workplace. AFA commends the Obama Administration, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) for their collaborative approach to reach the policy statement released today that will correct a nearly four-decade old exclusion of OSHA in the passenger cabin.

Pinnacle Flight Attendants Ratify Bankruptcy Agreement

Washington, DC – Pinnacle Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today ratified a six-year agreement that preserves wages, protects affordable health care and provides job security for over 1,500 Flight Attendants. The agreement includes $6.4 million in concessions demanded by management through the Chapter 11 restructuring process.  The agreement was reached with the assistance of the National Mediation Board.
