THIS WEEK: AFA Leaders Gather at the 77th CWA Convention
(July 27, 2019) - AFA-CWA local presidents and other officers will be in Las Vegas this coming week (July 29-31, 2019) for the 77th Annual Convention of the Communications Workers of America (CWA). The full convention gavels in Monday morning. Pre-Convention meetings start today, Friday, in Las Vegas.
Delegates who are elected officials from each AFA Local Council, will attend the convention to support our Sisters and Brothers in matters that affect organized labor and to further the business and priorities of our Union. CWA represents 700,000 workers including AFA Flight Attendants around the world. Working together, our collective solidarity increases our collective bargaining power and our influence in national matters that directly affect Flight Attendants.
