Washington, DC (March 7, 2016) — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today praised the introduction of the Stop Trafficking On Planes (STOP) Act to fight human trafficking with proper training for aviation workers, led by U.S. Senators Mark Warner (D-VA) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).

Washington, D.C. (February 16, 2016) — United Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, will picket at Chicago O’Hare International Airport February 18 in support of concluding contract negotiations.

 Washington, D.C. (February 12, 2016) – Envoy Air Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO, voted to accept mid-term improvements on Friday. This agreement covers more than 1,200 Envoy Flight Attendants and Envoy, wholly owned by American Airlines, will also be hiring more than 400 Flight Attendants this year.

Washington, DC (February 12, 2016)  – Mesa Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today voted down a tentative agreement with management. Mesa Airlines operates flights for United Express and American Eagle.

Washington, DC (February 11, 2016) — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA) cheered the members of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for their action to amend the Aviation Innovation, Reform and Reauthorization Act of 2016 (AIRR Act) to include a 10 hour minimum rest provision based on science and sought by Flight Attendants for decades. This FAA Reauthorization Bill will set the priorities and funding for U.S. aviation for the coming years.

Washington D.C. (February 2, 2016) — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today praised the introduction of the Secure Our Skies Act to fight human trafficking with proper training for aviation workers, led by U.S. Representatives Dina Titus (D-NV-01) and Barbara Comstock (R-VA-10).

Washington D.C. (January 27, 2016) – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today voted to approve a tentative agreement with Horizon Air management. Flight Attendant contract negotiations began six months ago, when Horizon Air management asked for changes to the contract that the company said were needed to bring jets to the airline.
