Washington D.C. (January 20, 2016) – United flight attendants – from pre-merger groups United, Continental, and Continental Micronesia – continue public protests at airports around the world as they call on management to complete contract negotiations and finish the operational merger.

Washington, DC (January 18, 2016) – As our nation celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) International President Sara Nelson said:

“We honor a great leader, a pioneer for diversity, and an advocate for labor. In addition to being a heroic champion for civil rights, Dr. King fought diligently for decent wages, fair working conditions, health and welfare measures, and respect for the individual. Dr. King promoted workers’ rights as human rights. Equality must include an equal voice. 

Washington, DC (January 15, 2016)  – Mesa Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today announced a tentative agreement with Mesa Airlines management. The four year agreement would cover over 700 Flight Attendants and includes economic and quality of life gains. The deal was reached with the assistance of the National Mediation Board.

Washington, DC (January 15, 2016) – Envoy Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today announced a tentative agreement on negotiated mid-term improvements with Envoy Air management. The deal would cover over 1200 Envoy Flight Attendants.

Washington, D.C. (December 31, 2015) - Flight attendants in China on Monday were required to model in bikinis as part of a flight attendant selection process. Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA) International President Sara Nelson said: "If discrimination exists anywhere, it is a threat to women everywhere."

Thousands March to Call for a Joint Contract at United Airlines

Washington, DC (December 17, 2015) – In 16 cities around the world, thousands of Flight Attendants are standing together today to send a message to United Airlines management: our fight will continue until we reach a contract that we are proud to ratify.

Washington D.C. (December 16, 2015) – More than five years after the merger of United/Continental/Continental Micronesia, United management still fails to complete negotiations for a joint Flight Attendant contract. As holiday travel ramps up a week before Christmas, United Flight Attendants are marching at nearly 20 airports around the world to call attention to severe delays by management in contract negotiations.

The Grinch is Negotiating with United Flight Attendants

Washington, DC (December 14, 2015) – United Airline Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants - CWA, will picket at airports around the world December 17 calling on United to finish its merger with Continental Airlines. Five years later, United management still fails to negotiate a fair contract even within a period of historic profits.
