Flight Attendant Union Urges Congress To Pass Vital FAA Reauthorization Bill

Washington, DC – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today urged Capitol Hill lawmakers to act on a long overdue Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill before it expires on Friday, July 22. After numerous extensions that have delayed critical funding and vital programs for aviation, Republican lawmakers added a provision that attacks workers’ democratic rights.  The labor provision is holding up critical infrastructure maintenance and safety provisions as these lawmakers have been unwilling to negotiate on a comprehensive reauthorization without the undemocratic provision.

IAM Challenges Vote for the Association of Flight Attendants at United Airlines

Air Wisconsin Flight Attendants File For Mediation

Washington, DC – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), representing Flight Attendants at Air Wisconsin Airlines, filed a joint petition with management to the National Mediation Board (NMB) requesting mediation in contract negotiations. Flight Attendant Union To Unify Mesaba and Colgan Flight Attendants

AFA Files for Single Carrier Determination with National Mediation Board

Washington, DC – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today asked the National Mediation Board (NMB) to declare that the Mesaba Airlines/Colgan Air merger has created a single carrier, triggering a union representation election for the combined group of nearly 1000 Flight Attendants.
