(November 24, 2014) – Transportation union leaders and labor advocates from the United States and Europe met today to discuss Norwegian Air International (NAI)’s application for a foreign air carrier permit, which is currently under review by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

Washington, DC –Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) International President Sara Nelson issued the following statement today praising President Obama’s appointment of Ron Klain to lead efforts overseeing the government’s response to the Ebola outbreak in the United States:

“President Obama is taking responsible action to dedicate resources and coordinate our federal government’s response to the ongoing Ebola outbreak. AFA is contacting Mr. Klain on immediate recommendations to minimize, contain, and eradicate the risk of Ebola from being further spread through civil aviation.
