Starting the Conversation to Tackle Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault 

A national discussion on sexual assault and sexual harassment has lifted the veil on a silent epidemic in our society. This provides us with an opportunity for real change that advances equality and safety for all of our sisters and brothers. As Flight Attendants we have a unique opportunity to join a positive dialogue about the change we want to see and the world we want for our children. We are on the frontlines of public discussion, and we must also recognize what this moment means for our careers, our flying partners and all of the people on our planes.

A message from Oscar: Standing up for what's right, for each other

United CEO Oscar Munoz sent the letter below to all United employees in response to AFA President Sara Nelson's op-ed in the Washington Post.

Dear United team,

Whether it's equal pay or access to education, parity with regard to leadership at the top of corporations or government, our society will only progress as far and fast as our sisters and daughters enjoy the same rights, respect and opportunities as our brothers and sons. At United, we know we can't be the company we want and need to be unless we make the best of all our colleagues' energy and skills by promoting diversity and equality throughout our ranks, from our officer corps to the front line. Achieving this goal is a journey, not a destination itself, and while we know we have further to go, this is something I am personally committed to and have prioritized for our officer team.

Take Action: Stop the Tax $ Grab

December 6, 2017 — Last week the Senate voted for permanent tax cuts for corporations along with incentives for outsourcing American jobs. Some working families will get a temporary tax cut, but lose the right to deductions effectively raising taxes while cutting programs working people and retirees need, like Social Security, Medicare and access to education.

She was bending over looking on the floor when she was joined by her supervisor. She thought he was there to help her. He was not.
