AFA and CWA are participating in the Women’s March on Washington on January 21. This will be an historic event that raises the issues that our union has championed for decades: equality for all, economic equality for women and justice in the workplace. It is an opportunity to shine the light on the importance of the labor movement for our role in supporting democracy, organizing to improve conditions at work and empowering women and others to use the power of the collective to address issues that would otherwise be suppressed without our unions. Libyan Flight Hijacked, Diverted To Malta; Most Of 118 On Board Released
December 23, 2016 - A flight within Libya has been hijacked and diverted to Malta. It landed with 118 people on board; now, nearly all of them have been released.
Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat says as of 8:50 ET, 109 passengers have been evacuated from the plane and some crew members are in the process of being released.

Dec 7, 2016 - Last week, the U.S. Department of Transportation approved a permit for Norwegian Air International (NAI) to start flying between the U.S. and Europe. The approval got very little fanfare in the media, as other news took center stage. But those of us in the U.S. aviation industry took notice, and we're not happy.
