Mesa Air and American Airlines also recognize Flight Attendants

DALLAS (January 10, 2017) — Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) members working American Flight 5783, operated by Mesa Airlines, today were recognized by Mesa Airlines and American Airlines for delivering a baby inflight in the final days of 2017. 

Washington, DC (January 3, 2018) – Sara Nelson, president of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO, representing 50,000 Flight Attendants at 20 airlines, released this statement after the announcement of a one-time bonus at American Airlines and Southwest Airlines following passage of the new tax law.

Washington, DC (December 20, 2017) – Silver Airways Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA), today voted with 93.3% participation to unanimously ratify their first contract. The four year agreement provides immediate pay raises, defined schedule and work rules for 60 Silver Airways Flight Attendants. The contract was reached with the assistance of the National Mediation Board. 

Alaska and United Immediately Respond and Take the Lead on Ending Sexual Harassment

Washington, DC (December 11, 2017) – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) calls on U.S. airline CEOs to renounce the past objectification of Flight Attendants, reinforce our safety role onboard and announced zero tolerance for sexual harassment and assault at the airlines.

Washington, DC (November 30, 2017) – Flight Attendants at charter airline Omni Air International, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today voted by 78 percent to ratify a first contract. The agreement provides immediate pay raises, defined schedule and work rules as well as job security with due process. 

Washington, DC (November 14, 2017) – Flight Attendants at Air Transport International (ATI), represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today voted by 65 percent to ratify a first contract with immediate pay raises and defined schedule and work rules. 

Washington, DC (November 13, 2017) – Silver Airways Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA), reached a tentative agreement for a first contract with the assistance of the National Mediation Board. The details of the four year agreement will be released first to the 60 Silver Airways Flight Attendants.
