FAA Safety Summit: Recommitting to the Safest Aviation System

March 19, 2023 - This week, the Federal Aviation System (FAA) held a safety summit to address a recent string of close calls on airport runways among other safety concerns. The summit brought together government agencies including the Department of Transportation and the National Transportation Safety Board, Flight Attendants, pilots, air traffic controllers, airlines and more.

Violent Passenger Incident on United

March 10, 2023 - On Monday, the Department of Justice charged a passenger for allegedly attempting to open an emergency exit door while aboard a United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Boston and then allegedly attempting to stab a flight attendant in the neck.

Flight Attendants Advocate on Capitol Hill on FAA Reauthorization

March 10, 2023 - Over 60 Flight Attendant activists from airlines across our union were in Washington, D.C. this week for Government Affairs 101 training and meetings with lawmakers to advance our careers. Flight Attendants talked with Congress and urged them to work swiftly to support our Flight Attendant priorities in the upcoming FAA Reauthorization Bill.
